1. Who is responsible
Briar Hamsfest Consulting s.r.o. is the controller for website enquiries and its own website operations. Company and postal details are on our legal page. For privacy requests, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject.
This notice concerns visitors and business contacts. It is not a privacy notice for every source dataset, study participant, or separately operated product. Those activities require their own applicable information and contractual arrangements.
2. Information and purposes
| Information | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Technical request information, such as IP address, browser, request time, requested resource, and error details, where logged by hosting infrastructure | Deliver the website, maintain availability, and investigate abuse | Legitimate interests in secure and reliable operation |
| Name, email, organisation, and information you choose to include in correspondence | Answer enquiries and discuss services | Steps requested before a contract, or legitimate interests in responding to business correspondence |
| Necessary correspondence and transaction records if an engagement follows | Administer agreements, meet applicable recordkeeping duties, and handle claims | Contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interests, as applicable |
You provide correspondence information directly. Technical information arises from your browser’s requests. You need not send an enquiry to browse. Without a reply address or sufficient detail, we may be unable to answer.
3. Tracking and visitor decisions
The website application contains no analytics, advertising trackers, account registration, checkout, or contact form. Fonts, artwork, scripts, and map data are served locally. Country selection and animation controls use page memory rather than persistent browser storage. See the cookie notice for hosting and private-preview distinctions.
We do not use this website’s visitor or enquiry information for solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Service providers and transfers
Information may be handled by hosting, infrastructure, email, and IT providers as needed to operate the site and respond to messages, and by professional advisers or authorities where necessary or legally required. We do not sell visitor or enquiry information.
The private review version is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Its account sign-in and access controls are separate from this website application and are subject to the platform’s own notices. The provider configuration of a public deployment may differ.
Some providers may process information outside the EEA. Where our processing involves such transfers, the applicable GDPR transfer requirements must be met, for example through an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
5. Retention
Enquiry information is retained while needed to handle the discussion and any resulting relationship, with further retention where necessary for legal obligations or the establishment, exercise, or defence of claims. Technical logs are subject to the hosting provider’s settings and the operational need to diagnose problems and protect the service. Retention should be limited to these purposes; this notice does not prescribe a single period for every record. Ask us about the period applicable to your information.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity.
Requests are normally answered within one month; a permitted extension for complexity or volume will be explained within that month. You can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or another competent supervisory authority. See the EDPB’s explanation of individual rights.
7. Children and sensitive information
This website is directed at professional and research audiences. We do not intentionally solicit personal information from children. Please contact us if a child has sent information or if sensitive records were sent accidentally so we can address the situation.
8. Updates and questions
Changes to website features or providers may require a revised notice. The date above identifies this version. Contact [email protected] with any question.
